Dr. Nywall and Dr. Sternitzky are both therapeutically certified doctors of optometry. This means that in addition to providing comprehensive examinations on people with healthy eyes, they are trained and licensed to diagnose and treat eye disease. This includes, but is not limited to: diagnosing cataracts, diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma, examining people with diabetes to see if they develop diabetic eye disease, diagnosing and treatment of macular degeneration, diagnosis and treatment of eyelid and dry eye problems, and diagnosis and treatment of infections and inflammations of the eyes. If you sustain an eye injury such as a corneal abrasion, contusion, or get something in your eye such as a piece of metal or other type of debris, we are prepared to treat you at any time, day or night. If you have an eye injury or infection, we will make every effort to get you in for treatment as soon as possible. We know that when you have a painful eye, you want it taken care of without delay.

If you have an eye condition that requires specialty care, we have an excellent rapport with all area specialists, and will make referrals for you as needed.
